MultiHealth Specialists (MHS) Ltd was formed in July 2011, initially created by the 3 principal Directors to provide healthcare consultancy services, it quickly became apparent that there were developing opportunities for the provision of services in the community, and to other providers of healthcare.

The company has steadily grown, developed and adapted to meet the changing landscape of the UK health economy. Identifying opportunities from supporting small providers with training and audit through to undertaking major projects and providing specialist advice to NHS providers.

MHS continues to procure contracts with the NHS and independent sector organisations for the delivery of clinical and management services, and is very optimistic for the future.

Care Quality Commission Registration;

To ensure new registration, and on-going compliance with relevant standards, the MHS team of skilled professionals can provide a pre-assessment audit of current services, to ensure that all relevant statutory regulations are met. This unique hands-on-approach, includes a development of policies and operational processes and development of monitoring systems to ensure their effectiveness. This approach can also provide on-going support to maintain compliance against a variety of statutory regulations and standards including for example CQC accreditation and the Hygiene Code.

For those providers who are still to be registered with the CQC, MHS offers a ‘Health Check’ of existing procedures and pathways; policies and supporting documents and will support the organisation from full proof reading of existing documents to the more extensive production of required policies, protocols and standards to create a complete library of documentation prior to submission to Care Quality Commission for re-registration. We also offer an assessment of their effectiveness against existing monitoring systems.

Management Support for Organisations

MHS are an organisation with extensive healthcare transformational experience and a unique breadth of knowledge in many areas of care delivery, risk management and both clinical and wider governance issues. We have the ability to;

  • Undertake whole systems reviews, including pathway design, or re-profiling, and feasibility studies on specific clinical services.
  • Initial scoping, feasibility and mobilisation of clinical and administration services including Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, mobile theatre and diagnostic services and breast care.
  • Development and implementation of robust Governance and Risk frameworks in order to ensure Quality and Safety remains paramount.
  • Referral management/pathway configuration/setting up local referral systems including support with choose and book.

Healthcare Estates Services

Linked closely with our infection prevention and control service our team provides specialist advice and guidance on all healthcare related facilities. From the simple creation of policies or audit of services through to operational estates management, mobilisation of new healthcare services and strategic guidance provision. The team ensure statutory compliance, best practice and HTM adherence, supporting CQC accreditation. Experts in energy conservation and sustainability they provide cost effective and minimising solutions to support healthcare buildings today.
