Joyce Bowler - Director of Strategy and Operations
A Registered Nurse, Joyce is an exceptional senior health manager with over 30 years’ experience who thrives in leading successful and quality focused teams. She has a highly innate ability to identify areas of risk, effectively undertake root cause analysis and ensure organisational ‘buy-in’. She is quick to grasp new ideas and concepts and is able to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems as well as be the ‘voice of reason’ in some highly charged environments.
As a transformational manager Joyce has a proven track record. She delivers a high level of performance whilst utilising excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. She has the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships. She is capable of horizon scanning healthcare strategies and is accomplished at developing safe, quality driven productive teams essential for today’s healthcare market.
Joyce is an experienced programme manager with the ability to formulate, organise and monitor inter-connected projects; develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities; resolve higher scope issues and apply change, risk and resource management skills to the work plan. She has exceptional leadership skills and is comfortable communicating at all levels of the organisation. Joyce’s most recent project is supporting a number of CCGs to develop their personalised commissioning offer including how personal health budgets with integrate with those of the Local Authority and also how the Local Authorities and the CCGs can deliver integrated health and social care in a personalised way.
Joyce is also a qualified Infection Control Nurse with past experience of leading high performing Infection Control Teams across the NHS and independent sector. This was achieved by her ability to form and manage cohesive teams, including motivating, encouraging team work, gaining consensus, providing clear direction, and ensuring communication across the team.
